Apteceu-me
Basicamente a idea é ver 50 filmes de terror desde hoje até o Halloween, basicamente isso dá um por dia, pode haver dias que não consiga ver, e outros que veja mais do que um, mas o objectivo é ver os 50. Só há duas regras: Todos filmes que ainda não tenha visto, e tenho de fazer um review para todos. Infelizmente as reviews vão ser em ingles, porque já vou fazer para o Letterboxd e eu sou perguiçoso.
No meio dos 50 filmes está o desafio que aceitei também que involve fazer uma lista de 31 filmes seguindo umas regras (4 paises, 3 filmes de 2 realizadores e 5 decadas diferentes incluidas) e vê-los todos até ao Halloween, e o que eu vou fazer é limpar essa lista primeiro e depois avançar com os outros 20

E vamos começar!

DIA 1:

Scream (1996): 8/10
Finally, after 10 years, I understood all the jokes in Scary Movie. And a couple problems I had with this movie was exactly that, I was familiar with Scary Movie and so I knew a lot of the story progression, but I won't give any negative points for that, as it's not the movie's fault.
As it's own Scream is quite the entertaining movie, playing more as a tribute to the 80's horror movies than anything else. It has all the cliches of slasher movies, but it is supposed to have, but at the same time it actually has a realistic take on the genre, thing that a lot of the main movies in the style do not. Having the killer actually take a beating is a double edge sword, it is more realistic, yes, and it makes sense in the end reveal, more so than it would be if it was a Jason style of killer that appears, kills and disappears like magic. This one takes quite the beating, but on the other side, it takes some of the scare factor, which together with the fact that I associate the killer with Scary Movie, makes me not fear him at all.
While not the masterpiece I've heard being called, Scream is definitely a good horror movie, but one that entertains more than it scares.

FILME 2:

Night of the Living Dead (1968)7.5/10
Another classic, and one that I, being a zombie fan, was really eager to watch, sadly, it doesn't have that many zombies.
Most of the movie is just people in the house talking. Now, I know there's nothing wrong with plot in my horror movie, but I was expecting a bit more. It's really slow at parts and can get a bit boring, but if you can get pass that you'll have some pretty good and intense scenes. I must say the last 20 minutes of the movie are worth watching.
That end tho... that end.

Movi para cinema e séries pq é o que faz mais sentido.

FILME 3:


Resident Evil: Extinction (2007): 5/10
Resident Evil: Extinction, the third movie of a series of 5, I don't know why, as it's clear they should have stopped by the second, is quite the letdown compared to the previous installments.
What to say about this really? The special effects are bad, the story is kind of a mix between the first Spiderman movie and Alien Resurrection (why, out of all the Alien movies, are you going to rip-off that one?) and with zombies in the mix. Everything is quite boring really.
I couldn't care for any of the characters, nor the romance. But at least that part I didn't felt bad about it because neither did the movie. Here's the entire romance:
Two main characters kiss.
The End.
There's no build up or follow up, they just kiss. That's fine I guess.
I will give it to the movie that it actually has some interesting action scenes here and there, but not really that worth. The acting is good enough and I will give cudos to the main theme song, which is by far the best thing in this entire movie.
I wonder if I'm really going to bother to finish this series or not, because from what I've seen from the trailers, it's all downhill from now on.

FILME 4:


Eraserhead (1977): 8/10
As part of the rules, I have to review every movie.
But I just can't describe this movie or what it makes me feel, with that said, I refuse to review it. If you want to know, see it.
